We live on a 125-acre hobby farm in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains. Generations before us taught the value of working with nature, not against it. Our homestead is an evolving mix of carefully bred animals, thriving honey bees, champion racing pigeons, fruit trees, and a massive garden—all balanced with full-time jobs and a busy family life, including a son in college out of state and another in high school. With a deep understanding of science and a hands-on approach, we make thoughtful, informed decisions about breeding, sustainability, and innovation. Whether refining genetics in our flocks or maximizing the land’s potential, we blend tradition with knowledge to create a resilient, thriving homestead.

Aaron

Aaron is the builder, problem-solver, and old soul behind our homestead. With a background in science and hands-on construction experience, he can build just about anything—and usually does. He’s always researching new skills, from traditional farming techniques to self-sufficiency practices, just in case the world takes a turn. A passionate racing pigeon enthusiast, he competes in a regional club while also tending to his ever-growing collection of fruit trees, farm animals, and vegetables.

Ashley

Ashley is the visionary behind the homestead, always coming up with new ideas for Aaron to bring to life. With a strong background in science, she has a deep passion for genetics—especially when it comes to breeding chickens for the perfect rainbow egg basket. She’s also obsessed with flowers, filling every available space with blooms. Whether experimenting with new breeding projects or planning the next big addition, she keeps the homestead constantly evolving.
