My training was kind of wonky this week.
Since my long run was on Sunday afternoon of last week, I rode my bike for 30 minutes on Monday instead of running.
I ran a quick 2 miles before class on Tuesday.
I was supposed to run 8 miles of speed work on Wednesday, but you know, I just didn’t feel like running, so I didn’t. I had a little guilt, but not much. My nose has been stuffy all week and I just needed a few more rest days to recover.
On Saturday, I was in Little Rock, so I decided to run on the Arkansas River Trail. This is part of the course of my next marathon. I figured, if I have to run 20 miles, I might as well make it scenic.
If you live anywhere near this trail, you should be on it everyday. It was really, really nice. I should have taken more pictures. I started laughing at myself a little over half way. I realized that I had spoken to every single person I met on the trail. The locals were probably like, “who is this country bumpkin?”
Anyway, I only have 6 more weeks and 3 of them will be spent in taper mode, so I am kind of excited! Only one more 20 mile run to go before the big day!!!
I was on the River Trail for a few miles on Sunday, I agree it’s beautiful and as a local I do spend a lot of time under-appreciating it.
