Ok, I have either done something genius or really stupid. Since I am running the Little Rock Marathon, I decided to join their training group and run their plan. I did not do my long run last weekend because of the trail race, so I figured this would be a good week to start anew. The mileage is pretty much the same, so hopefully I won’t get injured.
Sunday:
I weighed in at 141.5 lbs. Yeah, this is horrible. I gained 5 pounds in one week. I ate horribly studying for finals and then binged Wednesday – Saturday. Yesterday I ate a medium pizza and three tacos. THREE! Anyway, this is a new week and hopefully this is just water weight and will come back off this week. Randomly, I ran 3 miles in 31:12 with an average pace of 10:24 minutes/mile.
Monday:
I ran 4 miles in 39:22 with an average pace of 9:50 minutes/mile.
Tuesday:
I ran 5 miles in 48:50 with an average pace of 9:46 minutes/mile.
Wednesday:
I rested.
Thursday:
I ran 4 miles in 39:47 with an average pace of 9:46 minutes/mile.
Friday:
I rested.
Saturday:
I ran 12 miles in 2:15:30 and climbed 774 feet. My average pace was a very slow 11:17 minutes/mile. I am not really sure why I ran so slow, but hey, I’m not worried about times. I covered the distance and had fun.
What do you think?
