Well, nothing really dramatic happened over the course of 2012 in our family. I like that. Aaron continued working, I completed two semesters of school, Evan turned 6 and moved up to the first grade, and John David turned 3 and is wilder than a pet coon. Our farm is slowly taking on the picturesque image in my head and that makes me happy. Overall, 2012 was good to us. God has provided very well for us and kept us all safe.
I looked back at the resoulations I made last year and I did well at keeping them. I wanted to maintain my weight, but ended up losing 25 pounds. I am not complaining about that. I wanted to read my Bible everyday and I did a good job at that too. I didn’t start the year as a serious runner, but I ended the year as one. I ran 789.7 miles and biked 376.4 miles. I also ran 10 races varying from 3 to 13.1 miles. I never imagined that I would run races. I never placed above second, but I am still proud. I was terribly intimidated by the idea at the beginning of the year and now I am signing up for the jokers every chance I get. Weird how much running has changed me emotionally.
I have enjoyed 2012 and I believe that I have learned about the world and myself. I will remember this year fondly.
