This is the last easy week of my 16 week training plan. Only 28 days until I run the Heart and Sole Half Marathon. I am so ready/excited/nervous.
Monday
5 mile easy run at 10:51 minutes/mile. I ran this at a pace of 9:48 minutes/mile and finished in 49:00. I had to do this on the dread mill. Seriously, why don’t my college professors realize I am in training season?!?!?
Wednesday
5 mile easy run at 10:51 minutes/mile. I ran this at a pace of 9:39 minutes/mile and finished in 50:16. I am not sure why, but I did this in the heat of the day. I was 92 degrees. Well, they say running in heat makes you stronger for the fall season.
Thursday
4 mile easy run at 10:51 minutes/mile. I completed this day in 39:18 with an average pace of 9:39 minutes/mile. I ran this on the streets of Arkadelphia. It was an interesting change. I am not used to running in populated areas with folks watching my every move. I stayed very aware of my facial expressions…
Saturday
4 mile long run at 10:51 minutes/mile. I ran this in 40:35. It was soooo humid, but a lot cooler.
Go.. go… go… what a great accomplishment you have in store for you– I’m so excited.
