Just another great week of running. I am pretty sure I cured my runner’s trots. Sorry, that was too much to say in the first sentence. Skip reading Saturday if you don’t want to hear my poop chronicles.
Monday
3 mile easy run at 10:51 minutes/mile. I ran this at a pace of 10:23 minutes/mile and finished in 31:07. I ran this in the middle of the day and I didn’t die.
Wednesday
7 mile speed work with 1 mile warm up, 5 miles at 9:27 minutes/mile, and 1 mile cool down. I ran this at a pace of 9:39 minutes/mile and finished in 1:07:32. I ran this on the dread mill and well, it was boring.
Thursday
3 mile easy run at 10:51 minutes/mile. I completed this day in 31:05 with a pace of 10:21 minutes/mile.
Saturday
11 mile long run at 10:51 minutes/mile. I ran this in 2:05:22. That is an average pace of 11:24 minutes/mile. Yeah, that was slower than normal, but I am in Mountain View, AR and I climbed over 1,100 feet. Yeah, the hills are big. I am just glad I finished and accomplished my miles. Also, I haven’t had to race to the bathroom at all. Yeah, zero trots. I eliminated The Clif Builder’s Bar and added the Clif Strawberry Shot. I am going to repeat today.
Hey Ashley! I’m so glad we met and I think we should have a fitness blogger meet up for a race sometime. Congrats on fitting in your long run during the conference. I only got in 6 1/2 miles on the hills of Mountain View so you are one tough chica! Good luck with your first half marathon…you’ll be hooked on them I know. I can’t wait to hear how it goes.
