Week 7 Recap {Half Marathon Training}

Week 7 is done.  This program is so great.  I have not completed one run feeling dead.  I think when September 29 rolls around, I will be completely and totally ready to beast my first half marathon.

Monday
3 mile easy run at 10:58 minutes/mile.  I ran this at a pace of 9:55 minutes/mile and finished in 29:45.  I also rode my bike 7 miles in 39 minutes.

Wednesday
6 mile tempo workout.  1 mile warm up, 4 miles at 9:27 minutes/mile, 1 mile cool down.  I completed this day on the dread mill and finished in 59:12.

Thursday
3 mile easy run at 10:58 minutes/mile.  Ran a comfortable, average pace of 10:30 minutes/mile and finished in 31:29.

Saturday
9 mile long run at 10:58 minutes/mile.  This was a nice long run on familiar territory.  It felt good and I finished in 1:39:30, that is an average pace of 11:03 minutes/mile, 4 seconds shy of my proposed pace. I am slacking 🙁

I also ran the Dam Night Run 5k with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law Saturday night.

Sadly, I only got to ride 17 miles on my bike last week, due to a busy schedule, but I think I will make time this week for more.

Next week is my easy week with only four runs of four miles each.  Looking forward to a change of pace and more time on my bike.
