One of the simplest rooms to go green in is the laundry room.

The temperatures are rising and the pollen count is lowering.  Perfect time for you to start hanging your clothes out to dry!

Clothes lines are so easy to put up.  You can tie a string between two trees or you can by you a fancy pants one from the store.  Gaiam.com has a beautiful umbrella clothes dryer for $169 and also a retractable clothesline for $20, if you don’t have a lot of space.

You know me, I went the cheap route and cut down two cedar trees and fashioned a rustic looking one.

I know what you are thinking, you don’t want your clothes to feel like cardboard after they are dry.  All you have to do is add liquid fabric softener to the final rinse cycle of your washer. Easy as pie.
While you are at it, check out green laundry detergents and fabric softeners at your local store to take your green-ness to a whole ‘nother level!
